| Death of a Philanthropist, early 2003 | ||
| The distinguished Ron Duckoldson Swan is a great philanthropist to emerging artists (it is believed he is the only one in existence). Being permanently psychologically affected by mistaken identity in his formative years, developed a separation complex and now compensates for this by helping those he believes to be his brothers. These are the Ducks, who struggle for success and enough money to survive, inexplicably by making artworks. | ||
| The Swans are a wealthy group, having gone to the right schools, they invest their considerable moneys in safe (albeit profitable) places such as Blue Chip Stocks and the Sydney Property Market. Once established, they might buy safe art such as a Whiteley or Blackman from a Sotheby's Fine Australian Paintings Auction. Obviously, purchasing art from the Ducks would be extremely unwise, and, to the Swans, completely unacceptable. | ||
| Regardless of accepted opinion, Ron uses his extensive gallery contacts to view Duck Art in secret. Visiting galleries at night is the only way he can commune with the world he was nearly a part of. | ||
However, dark forces are at work. The Swans have become aware of Ron's indiscretions, and have set events in motion to put a stop to this, permanently. A hit man awaits...![]() |
||
| Coming Soon: Ron is the principal dancer in the new innovative Opera for the Death of Contemporary Art. Drafts of the Opera production have been sent to various galleries and project organisers. As co-writer and composer, Ron awaits acceptance or rejection. Stay tuned... |
